Will Arizona Law Be Catalyst to Comprehensive Immigration Reform?

On Friday, the Arizona governor signed into law a very divisive state immigration action that has caused widespread protest and debate.  President Obama has even questioned the state’s actions.

The Arizona law may have an unintended result – the pushing through of Comprehensive Immigration Reform on a national level.  The Arizona law has just shown the federal government that if it continues to dillydally around on the issue of immigration, states will continue to pass increasingly dracionian laws.

The hot national debated sparked by Arizona’s new law has even caused some Democratic Congress members to give Republic Congress members an ultimatum – work with us within three weeks, or the Democrats will move forward on the issue without them.
